Dr. Parul Dua MAkkar

Dr. Parul Dua Makkar, DDS, FACD, FICD is a practicing dentist, oral cancer educator, and grief coach based in Dix Hills, NY. She is the founder of Dua Good Job™, an oral cancer education platform born from personal loss — her brother, Dr. Manu Dua, passed away from oral cancer, an experience that transformed her clinical work into a mission. Through Dua Good Job™, she trains dental and healthcare professionals to recognize oral cancer earlier and speak to patients with more compassion. She also leads Healing the Healers, a program supporting grief and resilience among healthcare providers, drawing on her own journey as a sister, daughter, survivor, and thriver. Parul speaks nationally on early detection, clinical courage, and healing after loss — bringing both clinical expertise and lived experience to every audience she serves.
